Sunny Day

Today the weather was lovely. Sunny and warm- not a rain cloud in sight. I got these sunglasses from Hush not too long ago. I don`t like them so well anymore, I think they look better on my sister.

A perfect day to get a sundae from Dairy Queen.

Or an ice cappuccino from Timmys.

Or maybe just absorb some vitamin D.

Target Dress

I wore this dress to the concert hall tonight to see the Chai Folk Dancers. I got a free ticket, but I did not sit with my family or the rest of the church group that was in attendance... I sat on the upper balcony with a woman called Lena. She is a devout Hutterite lady with a low German accent. She insisted on giving me a meal replacement bar and told me she knows my `Mudder`, she was a lovely lady and I was happy to hang out with her for awhile. The dress was pretty comfy too.

Messy Hair

My hair did not spring back in to my usual naturally curly hair. Instead I have a mixture of curly/wavy over-processed hair. I did not put anything in it today except conditioner, conditioner, conditoner. I am on a mission to save my hair! On the bright side it still feels soft.

28 an even number on an odd day

I am twenty-eight today.

Today

I spent the day so far shopping and doing little things that pleased me. The best part thus far has been spending time with my sisters, they have been lovely to me. I am looking forward to learning what God has for me in my twenty-ninth year of life!

Live it loud! YC saturday night

I have been volunteering at this youth convention -

YC is a multi-denominational Youth Conference that is committed to reaching students for Christ here in Canada and around the world. The vision of YC is simple: to hear what God is saying to this generation and to see this generation mobilized for His purposes. In other words, we want to "Know God and Make Him Known!" YC is a weekend where students from junior high to university age come together to be spiritually challenged and changed and now it's time to bring that challenge to Manitoba.

This is the main stage at YC it was held at in the sanctuary at Church of the Rock.

Here is Leeland performing. The lead singer Leeland Mooring had a great prophetic word for Winnipeg.

Here is a local performer, Joe Kendrick of Calvary Temple.

Rap artist John Rueben. He had everyone excited and dancing especially the ushers!
